New Shoes!
I walked away from these super cute black shoes once before so when I spotted them again I just couldn't walk away empty-handed again. Plus they were still on sale! I got rid of two of my older pairs of black high heels so I would feel even better about buying them :)

Red Cup Excitment
Woo Hoo!!!
RED CUPS are at Starbucks!! This day starts off the holiday season which eventually leads us into Thanksgiving and of course Jesus' birthday, otherwise known as Christmas!
I stopped at one of the local Starbucks(es)* and was delighted to see the red cups stacked neatly according to their Italian named sizes. But I have to admit that the red color seems to be a little too dark for my liking. Oh well, I will still drink out of them; plus they have festive words written on them which makes them more appealing. So of course I also treated myself to my first peppermint mocha of the season. YUM!! After the coffee run, I delivered one to my mom (yes because I am just the best daughter ever) and then made a deposit at the bank. While in the drive-up line, a very creepy guy/bum was in a taxi in the next lane and he just kept staring at me....he was so freaky! So I ignored him, sipped deliciousness from my red cup and "patiently" waited for the banker to finish up. Thankfully, creepo left first (after one more long stare at me) so he couldn't catch my license plate or follow me (do you think I watch too many crime shows/dramas) lol.
For those of you keeping track, I am now up to a $6 donation to the MOD at the end of the month.
*I don't know the proper plural form of Starbucks :)

Prematurity Awareness Month

November is known for being all about Thanksgiving but it is also the month to remember and help with premature babies and their mothers. That is right, November is not just about turkey and the fixins it is also Prematurity Awareness Month! And sadly, even today, premature babies are still being born-13 million worldwide, which is an astronomical and heartbreaking number.
So in honor of this month, I have decided to combine two of my loves-coffee and the March of Dimes. For each coffee purchase I make this November, I will donate every $2 to the MOD! I feel like it is a win-win for everyone, I still get my Starbucks and I help raise money for a worthy cause. (Here's hoping I keep proper track of how much coffees I buy this month).
Join with me this month (and always) to fight for preemies!!

Finally, First, For....
Finally I was put on a sub list! It is with the same district I student taught in last semester. I had an interview last wednesday and a couple hours after that ended I received my first phone call! I am so excited to be back in the classroom(s) and making money doing what I enjoy. Oh and I am still tugging along on trying to get onto my old elementary school's sub list. Now I just need a full time job for next school year and we will be golden (in good time though, it shall happen).
First grade was the grade I subbed in today-my first official day as a sub. I was anxious that the little ones would be freaked out that there was a substitute but it was quite the opposite; they were intrigued and very helpful. It was only for half of the day and it went smoothly and quickly. A couple of the girls even gave me hugs before I left which was kinda...um, sweet?
For tomorrow I am back in action for the whole day. And what is my role you ask? Why, an ESL teacher! Sounds like a fun time :)

Pumpkin Day '09
Yesterday was our annual trip up to WI for pumpkins, a stop at the local A&W for lunch and Adrian's custard on the way home. It was a beautiful, sunny day and it wasn't too chilly when we were walking around-a perfect Sunday for pumkpin picking!
Plenty of pumpkins to choose from...
B and A each found theirs!!
Great costumes!
Me and my lovebugs...A pointing to "Sparkle"!
If you are a K kid then you know this tree....
One nice group shot though :)
